At Faenas Camperas, you will have the opportunity to experience from the inside all about raising cattle on a bull fighting farm. You will see these magnificent animals from one meter (three feet) distance, comfortably seated in a 4WD vehicle.
On all our visits we will be mere spectators, without interfering in these animals daily life. It is the best way to learn their habits. |

The visit starts at the cows’ enclosure. Depending on the season, they will be with their smallest calves or with their bullocks. Then, 1-2 years old bulls will be visited, also the red berrendo variety, used as halters, and finally, you will have the opportunity of visiting all the facilities used for the handling of these animals: enclosures, plaza de tientas (practicing bullring), mangas, chiqueros, palco…
We offer an exclusive exhibition of acoso y derribo (the art of running and bringing down the bull performed by two horsemen with lances in open field) for groups in which you can observe how traditional farm work conform to the entailments of the exhibition.
You can also visit other herds of cattle and the Iberian acorn pig raised in freedom, and see how horses are also worked on the farm. Our facilities are in the very core of Campo Charro, a part of the Salamanca province where most prime quality bull farms are located. |
